How to Use Thoughts and Visualization to Maintain Enthusiasm for Your Workouts

A lot of times we lose enthusiasm for our workout because we don’t see results immediately or we get bored with the routine. So today I’m sharing how to use thoughts and visualization to keep the feeling of excitement and motivation alive, even when the going gets tough. So tip number one, change your mindset from I have to, to I get.

Thoughts are powerful things, and our minds can be our own worst enemy when it comes to demoting motivating us. If you’re constantly thinking, I have to work out or I have to go to the gym, then of course you’re gonna feel like it’s a chore. But if you switch your mindset to, I get to work out, or I’m so proud I made time for a workout, then you’ll start to feel more enthusiastic about it.

Tip number. Create a vision board. Another way to change your mindset is to create a vision board of all the things you wanna accomplish with your fitness journey. What does your ideal body look like? What kind of strength are you aiming for? How do you wanna feel? By creating visual representation of your goals, you’ll be more likely to stay excited and focused on achieving.

Okay. Tip number three, find a workout buddy or two. Working out with friends is not only more fun, but it also holds you accountable. You are less likely to skip a workout if you know someone’s waiting for you at the gym, and when you do workout, you’ll push each other to do your best. So find some people who have similar fitness goals as you and make some new friends in the process.

Okay, tip number four, set small. Achievable goals. Okay? It’s important to set goals that challenge you, but are also realistic and attainable. If your goal’s too lofty, you’re setting yourself up for de disappointment and discouragement. But if your goal is too small, then it won’t be motivating enough to keep you going.

So strike a balance between the two and celebrate each accomplishment along the. Tip number five, reward yourself. So last but not least, make sure to give yourself a pat on the back and maybe even an actual reward every once in a while when you reach a new milestone. This could be something as simple as buying yourself a new pair of socks or treating yourself to a new lip gloss.

Two of my fav, my personal favorite, whatever it is, just make sure it’s something that will keep you looking forward to future workouts. I hope these tips help get and keep you excited about working out. Remember, it’s all about mindset. If you believe you can do it, then you will just take it one step at a time and enjoy the journey.

Before long, you’ll be reaching all of those ambitious goals that you set for yourself.
